I love my pollinators! I am a big fan of the bees in my backyard all the bees… Well, truthfully, I’m not a big fan of Carpenter bees but I can’t like them all right? Ha ha ha anyway, I received this little bee “pontoon” to help out my little friends as the Georgia summer looms on our horizon. It is only April and we are already crossing into 87°..I have two ample size bird baths, one in my front yard and one of my backyard, this little floating water station is great! I’m already getting visitors! I love watching the different bees come over and rest and feel safe to take a drink of water.Let’s talk about the basics of this little “pontoon“. It is a pack of two and they are made of a very solid solid plastic. They float in the water great. They are bright vivid blue and they’re in the shape of a turtle.Just touching briefly on cost. It’s super reasonable and what a great value because you received two in a package. They’re sturdy, durable and well-made. They are designed to float and they do absolutely float. This little gadget is perfect for any bee or pollinator enthusiast. Or for a gardener who wants to make sure they attract bees to help out with their gardening and pollinating all of their plants and flowers. This little bee pontoon is a great addition to your garden and your gardening needs. And it’s such a nice little safe spot for bees and butterflies alike to be able to drink water on these hot days. I would absolutely recommend this product to anyone looking to grow their garden with the help of pollinators.
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t exactly thrilled about using a sea turtle-shaped bee “pontoon.” It’s not winning any design awards in my book. But function? That’s a whole different story. As a beekeeper, I’ve tried just about every DIY watering setup out there. Chicken waterers with pebbles, dog bowls, 5-gallon buckets with pool noodles, floating wood chunks—you name it. And without fail, those solutions eventually turn into soggy, sinking disappointments. This, though, actually works.I even tested it by stacking coins on top to simulate the weight of a crowd of thirsty bees, and it held steady without any issues. No tipping, no sinking, no gradual betrayal over time.So while the look isn’t my favorite look, the performance absolutely is. It’s reliable, low-maintenance, and does exactly what I need it to do. At the end of the day, the bees are happy, and that’s the only design approval that really counts.
I got the Bee Pontoon 1 Pc - Bee Watering Station, Butterfly Watering Station, Garden Decor - Turtle for my backyard. We have a lot of pollinators, and I love being able to provide water for them. I got the blue turtle; it is really cute, and the blue is vibrant. The pontoon is made of durable, high-quality material that appears to be UV-resistant as well. The pontoon floats easily in our repurposed satellite dish. The honeycomb pattern on the pontoon is not only cute but also the perfect size for the bees to rest on without drowning. This is an excellent addition to your garden and an excellent value for your money.
