Works well in pools too

I ordered this for my pool as I have honeybees and they get killed by the hundreds sometimes by the trap and screen on the pool. This gives them something to grab onto as the water goes around the edge of my pool and dry off enough to fly away. The plastic is light weight and floats easily. I did tie mine to the edge of the pool with a string so that it would not end up in my trap and cause any issues.Even though it is lightweight it is not flimsy and is pretty solid and does not bend easily without trying really hard.Overall, this should save the honey bees that I am trying to save and a few other things. For now it works great and I have it in the shade side, so it should last a while.

Nice design and pattern

I like the idea of having something that will benefit and help bees. I am hoping this will in fact be useful to them. It is a thick piece of plastic and seems to be well made and durable. It does not bend and seems pretty solid. It floats as it is supposed to in shallow water. The only concern I have is that it does not say that it is UV protected anywhere. I will update if after the summer the plastic becomes brittle and/or breaks. I am utilizing it in my garden. I have a mosquito dunk in there to prevent mosquitos from breeding in the water and also a drip irrigation to make sure there is fresh new water being added every day. I will also have to keep an eye out to see if I see any bees or other insects making use of this. I think these should be priced a little lower than what it is currently.

Simple, Cute Bee Watering Station

Simple and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The bright yellow flower design is cheerful and easy to spot in the garden, and the honeycomb pattern is a nice touch.Feels sturdy enough for outdoor use and sits nicely without fuss. Floats steadily on our bird bath to give pollinators a safe spot to drink. No complaints—just a straightforward, functional little piece that looks good and works as intended.

Thoughtful Bee-Safe Design—A Much Safer Alternative to Rocks

I ordered this hoping to give the bees in my yard a safer water source, especially during the hotter months when they tend to end up around my pool. I really like the concept behind this—it’s clearly designed with bee safety in mind, giving them a place to land and drink without the risk of drowning. That’s actually what makes this stand out compared to the rocks I’ve tried using in the past. While those looked a bit more natural, they were not always safe or reliable. This design is much more intentional and gives me more confidence that the bees can access water without slipping in.Bees really do need shallow water sources with safe landing areas, otherwise they can easily drown —so I appreciate that this product focuses on function over just appearance.

Great idea

We've had some late freezes this year so I haven't seen that many bees or butterflies yet but I'm hoping this attracts them! It seems like a really good idea and this is actually much smaller than I thought it was going to be, which is good because the pictures made it look like it might occupy most of my bird bath but it only sits in a very small portion. Output seems like the bright yellow color would be good for bees since they are attracted to the yellow dandelions in the yard. The holes are small and there's plenty of space for bees or butterflies to land. It looks great now, will see how it looks and feels after a year or in the sun! This was very affordable and such a simple solution!

The bees thank you

This review is for Bee Pontoon 1 Pc - Bee Watering Station, Butterfly Watering Station.I love this thing! We kept finding dead bees and other insects in our bird baths and just felt terrible. Finally I stumbled upon this and it has worked perfectly. It is thicker and stronger than I actually expected, which is a plus. It sits in our bird bath and does not easily tip. I've noticed insects even as small as gnats able to grip it and take tiny little drinks of water. Bees and other insects have been thrilled and since adding it to the bath, I have not found a single deceased insect. That alone makes it worth it.I also appreciate the vivid yellow and the honeycomb style. It's super cute and adds more appeal to the bird bath than I had anticipated. It's sizable but still leaves extra space in the bath for the birds. I have yet to see the birds really try to use it yet. We'll see how that goes. The price was reasonable as well, making it a good value for the money. Overall, I am very happy with it and I know the bees are too!

Hoping to help the bees

I'm setting up a place for the bees and butterflies to have a little sanctuary in our garden. The design of this product is cute and it also serves to make small holes so the bees are able to take small sips without falling into the water. The material is polymer, which I hope means that it will withstand the elements for a long time. It floats really well in the water and doesn't sink, even if I pour the water over it.

Neat contraption that will hopefully give the bugs, butterflies and bees a safe place to drink

I am very interested to see how this works over the summer. We have two small ponds in our front yard, one with a filter/stone waterfall my husband put together, and a smaller pond with a floating solar fountain. There are spots in both ponds so that the birdies and bugs can scoot down closer to the water to get a drink or take a bath. The bugs, bees and butterflies keep their distance with all of the birds outside, so if I catch a bug they’re usually drinking droplets on the edge of the liner, ready to jet if a bird comes their way. So I am excited for the critters to have a safe spot to land. The holes are bigger than I thought they would be, but it floats very well. My concern, however, is that the birds will try to land on it and end up in the drink (too many baby birds have been pulled out of those ponds). This weekend will be nice enough that we can clean out the ponds and get everything running again, and this is going in the small pond without the fountain. Always happy to feed the butterflies, bugs and bees.

Cute shape. Hoping it works

I ordered this because i love the bees in my garden but i also love birds, so i wanted to put this in my shallow bird dish for the bees safetyI like the shape. It looks very cute. It’s sturdy and well made in design,So far I haven’t seen any bees around it. Time will tell if it will work. I’m just hoping it keeps any bees from drowning as they’re trying to get a drink

A Simple Life-Saver for My Backyard Friends!

I originally bought this because I was tired of finding "stranded" bees in my pool. We are keeping a small hive in our yard and this little floating pontoon has been the perfect solution to deter them from my pool and attract them to the bird feeder instead. What I Like:• Safety First: It provides a stable, dry landing spot. The bees can land on the textured surface and reach the water’s edge without any risk of falling in or getting their wings wet.• Self-Adjusting: Since it floats, it stays at the perfect level regardless of the water depth. Whether the bird bath is full after a rain or getting low in the Texas heat, the "island" is always accessible.• Durable Material: The material feels very sturdy. It’s also very easy to rinse off when I clean the bird bath.If you’re a gardener or just someone who wants to support the local ecosystem, this is a must-have. It’s a small investment that makes a huge difference for the bees, wasps, and butterflies in the area. No more "rescue missions" required!Bottom Line: Highly recommend for any pollinator-friendly yard.

Cute Garden Accent That Helps Pollinators Too

This little bee and butterfly watering station is both adorable and functional. The bright yellow flower design adds a cheerful pop of color.I appreciate that the attached sticker easily comes off. The shallow design makes it safe and accessible for bees and butterflies to stop for a drink, which is a nice way to support pollinators in your yard. It’s a simple, decorative piece that adds charm while serving a helpful purpose and is a good value for the price!

Its hexagonal compartments are shallow and intentionally designed to prevent drowning, offering a safe and comfortable way for insects to hydrate.Built from durable, weather-resistant materials, this watering station is made to withstand outdoor conditions, ensuring long-lasting use throughout different seasons. Its sturdy construction makes it a reliable feature for gardens, patios, or backyard habitats.Beyond functionality, it plays an important role in supporting biodiversity by creating a safe water source for pollinators that contribute to plant health and ecosystem balance. Bee and butterfly watering hole/pontoon

The Bee Pontoon is about the size of a luncheon plate vs dinner plate. Made of a special poly material, it's sturdy and lighter than it looks. I expected it to go straight to the bottom of the birdbath, but it floats perfectly! I looked for the specific branding and found it in the center of the pontoon where it's hard to see. I used a little mud to bring out the letters "Bee Pontoon." Not sure how other brands would compare in quality aka float-ability. The design makes me think "hive" and, in this case, a bright yellow color says "bees." Now that I have this, my plan is to create a bee/butterfly station among flowering salvias so they'll have a watering hole to themselves.

Cute, well made, and a smart little add-on for your bird bath

I ordered this Bee Pontoon to put in my bird bath as a safe spot for bees and butterflies to land and sip water. I refresh my bird bath often, and every summer I end up seeing thirsty bees trying to perch on the edge. This gives them a stable “landing pad” right on top of the water.Quality: It feels thicker and sturdier than I expected for something that floats. The material is not flimsy, and the edges are smooth. It has a textured surface so little feet can grip, and it has floated reliably for me without tipping over.Appearance: It’s honestly cute. The honeycomb shape looks good in the bird bath instead of looking like random plastic. It blends in nicely with outdoor decor and does not look out of place.Value for money: For the price, I think it’s worth it if you already keep a bird bath or a shallow water dish outside. It’s a small item, but it solves a real problem and helps turn your bird bath into something more pollinator friendly with almost zero effort. If you want an easy way to help bees and butterflies drink safely without drowning, this is a simple, practical little add-on.

Bee Watering Station, Butterfly Watering Station, Garden Decor - Flower (1, Yellow)

I picked up this Bee Watering Station mostly because my wife said it would “help the pollinators,” and I figured if a cute little yellow flower dish keeps her happy and keeps the bees hydrated, that’s a win for everyone. I’ll admit, once we set it out in the garden bird bath, it actually looked pretty charming. I see it as a tiny spa day setup for insects. So far, a couple of birds have landed on it, probably wondering when a party island suddenly showed up. I'm surprised to see that it's stable enough for house finches. Because of this I can say with confidence that it will have the perfect stability for the insects it's intended for. As for bees and butterflies, it’s still a bit early in the season here, so we haven’t seen much action yet. My wife keeps checking it like she’s waiting for VIP guests to arrive. I’m sure once things warm up, the place will be buzzing...literally. I am happy to report that it’s a cute little garden addition, easy to set up, and it makes my wife smile every time she walks past it. If it ends up hosting the neighborhood bees and butterflies, that’ll just be a bonus.

A Safe Drink Station for Bees & Butterflies

I'm SO excited about this Bee Watering Station! 🐝I have hydroponic tower gardens, and I love that I can leave this right on my tower for the bees when they come to pollinate my plants and veggies. It's well-made, budget-friendly, and super cute.Florida tip: I'll keep it in a basin with a little water and some mosquito dunk pieces. 🙌I love that the design keeps bees and butterflies safe with easy access to water — and that it's from a small business!Highly recommend for your garden or as a gift for a fellow gardener. 🦋🌱
